Halloween is coming!! It is celebrated on the 31st of October and it is original mainly from Ireland. It celebrated the eve of all Saints (1st November). However an ancient Anglo-Saxon custom changed dramatically its strict religious sense in order to celebrate the night of terror, wishes and ghosts.
From few years ago, teenagers started to celebrate and to adopt the Halloween’s custom. In Halloween, regarding an Anglo-Saxon legend, it is said that it is easy to see wishes and ghosts. Children dress up and go with a candle around the neighborhood. When their neighbors open the door they shout: trick or treat!!! This means that they will change a joke by candies or sweets.
Nowadays it is celebrated all over the world. Maybe its influence is because commercial interests and it could be promoted by American films in some European countries. For me it is not part of my religion but I think it’s become more a holiday to dress up and sometimes go “trick or treating” as a way of fun.
